Playing Catch-up
It has come to my attention that I have not blogged in almost 2 months! What in the world?! I cannot believe time has just passed my by. The thing is, that we haven't really been up to much...just keeping busy with "stuff". But here is what we have been doing these past 2 months....
This last Saturday was such a productive day! (Its nice to have some days like that). We were busy but in a good way. Brady and I first cleaned out our crawl space to get rid of some junk for a garage sale next weekend. That took up most of the morning....so we decided we needed to have a little fun. We packed a little picnic and headed to the park. We rode our bikes about 2 miles down hill to and awesome park which was PACKED full of little kids. We found a nice little spot to eat lunch and feed the ducks. Then it was time to head back....UP HILL! Ugh...I was dead by the time I got home. Brady, who rides his bike to work all the time, was just full of energy! So we put the girls down for a nap...I wish I went right along with them....but we cleaned out our garage and washed the cars. (of course it rained the very next day). After we got cleaned up, we went to a neighborhood BBQ. It was a "get to know you" sort of thing with the families in the cul-de-sac behind us. The girls had a blast playing in the street (where they know they aren't supposed to be) but we had the street blocked off, because no one needed to get in or out. I thought about taking pictures of the BBQ, but I didn't want people to think i was weird....so no pics. But here are some of our picnic....
Kailyn and Taylor playing a little game of Ring around the Rosie

Taylor absolutely LOVES this game
Memorial Day Weekend was spent down in Denver with my parents. My dad cooked up an awesome BBQ and watched lacrosse all day. It was SO nice to just relax in the hot tub and enjoy every ones company. It rained alot down there so Kailyn and Tyler had lots of fun playing and splashing in puddles. We went to the park just down the street and were caught in a nasty rain storm. It was lightning and thundering with lots of rain and hail. We had to take cover under some overhang of the pool to wait it out. Taylor was loving it, but Kailyn, however, was so scared. poor thing....But it was lots of fun. Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures...I just forgot...oh well.

My parents dog, Riley, just mad himself at home (on Brady's foot!)
Kent came down from Oregon for a little trip to see the kids and grand kids. Fort Collins was his last stop. We had so much fun with Grandpa! Brady and Kent played a lot of tennis and a bike ride to the park and lots of talking about engineer junk. I just tune them out when they get going on their computer talk. haha It was so nice having Kent here. We wish Lalo came with him!! We missed you Lalo! You better come out next time! ;o)

Being silly

A while back, we were talking about what we can do to spruce up our backyard. I wanted to put in a nice big deck, but we are going to have to save up a few years for that to happen. We also wanted some privacy from out backdoor neighbors, so we decided to put in some trees. Here is the result.

After!

I think it looks so much nicer. It adds a little more green to the yard. Now, in about 10-15 years, we will have the privacy we were talking about... haha
I havent really updated the lacrosse season we just finished up...about a month ago...like I wanted to. We finished the season 8-5. Not too bad for the first season! We were competing for the last spot in the playoffs, but unfortunatly, we didnt make it. (Brady and I joke that we were the worst best team this year). haha I had such a fun time coaching the girls this year. Lots of bonds and friendships were made and I hope I can do it again next year.
