Belly Pictures

One of my old college roommates is starting a photography business. She offered to take some pictures of my pregnant belly to document how big it really gets. So, one cold gloomy day (a perfect day to stay inside) she came up and took some pictures. Some of the time, ended up just being Kailyn pictures, just to keep her happy. Those were some really cute ones. However, as you can tell, we really need to work on her "smile". She has the most cheesiest smile! Anyway, here are some of the pictures that I will allow on the blog. The rest (bare belly) of the pictures will stay hidden and no one will ever see them! haha

Swim Class

Today, Kailyn and 3 of her friends took a little swimming class. They teach the kiddos how to kick their feet and paddle with their hands. The pool was so warm, I didn't want to get out when the class was over! Kailyn loved it so much too. I forgot my camera (of course) so I didn't get any pictures, but Melissa took this cute picture of the kids after the class. I'll get some more pictures in the next couple classes, I promise!

Basement Progress....

I was told I needed to put up some pictures of the basement. Brady has been super busy lately with church and work and other stuff, that the basement has kinda taken a back seat for a bit. But its getting finished slowly but surely. The biggest project lately was tiling the bathroom. That took at least 24 hours (not straight through) to do. And as you can see, its not quite finished. He still needs to put in the grout. Right now, Brady is working on sanding the walls before the texture goes on. That's going to take a few days too.... But hopefully, before this new baby comes, we will have a finished basement where ANYONE can stay a while and see her. ;o)Coming down the stairs....bedroom is on the rightPart of the entertainment room...My little "craft" area. This was supposed to be Brady's office, but that didn't work out... Sorry Brady ;o)The doors going into the bedroomThe closet in the bedroomThis is where the toilet is going....just what you wanted to seeThe awesome tiling in the shower. It still has some gunk that needs to be cleaned out, but you get the idea.

The rest of these pictures were taken because Kailyn just wanted her picture taken and I thought she looked cute.... She LOVES this blanket. And this combined with Sesame Street and her thumb is heaven! She turned away at the last second

Welcome 2008

New Years was so much fun this year! Such a change from last year where I had to spend midnight by myself because Brady went to sleep! We had some friends over to play games and eat until we burst! About half way throughout the night I realized I hadn't taken any pictures of the events, so I went upstairs to get the camera, and it was gone! I had no idea where I put it. (or where Kailyn put it). So, I apologize that there are no pictures....you'll just have to take my word for it: it was FUN! We started out the night with some good food and just snacked and talked. When everyone got there, we played the candy game. After we were all sick from eating the candy, we played this new game "Blokus". Its a strategy game. Lots of fun. Then we ate some more and talked a lot more to make the time go by. Before we knew it, it was midnight and we popped open some bubbly! (the fake kind)
I have kind of thought about some new year resolutions, but I really don't stick to those so, I'm going to forget about them this year....maybe next. We hope you all had a great time ringing in the new year.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays everyone! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas season and a great new year. The Koenig family had a fantastic few weeks with tons of family and lots of fun times. I decided to wait until all the festivities were over to blog it all.

Christmas was spent down in Denver. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my family. We were so surprised to see snow falling when we woke up. We thought it would have stopped later that day, but no.....it snowed all day!! Kailyn had such a great time opening all her presents from Grandma and Grandpa and Santa. She would not let go of her Elmo doll and Elmo slippers the entire day. We then took a trip over to Dave and Ashley's house for a great Christmas dinner and more presents. Kent, Lalo, and Ryan were there the night before. (good thing too, because of the snow) We had a great ham dinner with the works! We had to head home almost right after dinner because the snow was not letting up and we needed to get home. So after a white-knuckle drive, we made it home.

The next day, Kent and Lalo came up to see us. We had a great time playing racket ball. (well, i didn't get to play, but it LOOKED fun!) The next day it snowed all day again, so it was just a lazy, stay-at-home, play-cards-all-day, day. They took off at about 4am the next day.
The day after that, Cindy and Berne came to see us. We had a great time at the mall visiting with Ryan while he worked. (I got an awesome pair of black boots) When we got home, we opened more presents, then we had some amazing pizza for dinner and more card playing. (We LOVE to play cards) On Sunday, the whole family came up here for some dinner and more presents. Brady grilled....yes, GRILLED, some good flank steak (Grandma Carolyn's recipe...MMMM)

It was such an amazing feeling being with so much family. It was so great having everyone that we love around for the holidays. I just wish we were able to take more (better) pictures. I just get "in the zone" and forget to take pictures! We hope you all have a great 2008!
