Kailyn is 18 months

Happy half birthday Kailyn! Well, actually, it will be on February 30th. Wait! There is no February 30th....So, we will just have to celebrate now. Time goes by so quickly with this little girl. She is learning so much and we are so happy for her! We went to the doctor yesterday for her little check up and she is just fine. She weighed in at 25.5 lbs and 34.5 inches long. She definitely got her height from Brady. I'm almost positive I will be the shortest one in the family for sure. Kailyn is getting to be more and more like a little kid and not a baby anymore. She can talk in 3 word sentences like "I get down", "I did it", "I don't know", and "where is she". Kailyn will repeat anything Brady and I say...so we have to watch what we say around her. She can feed herself with a fork and spoon which makes breakfast lunch and dinner so much easier for us. She is also getting 3 molars! There were a few weeks in there where she was so fussy and in lots of pain, but now, I think the worst has passed for her. And our next big accomplishment will be potty training! She has been showing interest in using the potty for about a month or so now, so we bought a potty chair a few days ago and are starting to sit on it and have some fun on the potty. I need to do some research before we actually get started with all that. She has been so happy with the warmer weather lately. We go for little walks around the block and to the mail box. I think she is getting a little ancy to go to the park and actually play outside! For the most part, Kailyn is so happy and so healthy. We are so happy to have her with us and we couldn't have asked for a better little girl. We love you, Kailyn!

Ski and Scrapbooking

Valentines day was celebrated a little early this year. The weekend before the big heart day, we went up to Copper Mountain again. This time we went with all of Brady's siblings. We all stayed in a condo together and just had a blast! We all stayed up way too late Friday night talking. Saturday, all the boys went skiing. It was so easy for them because our condo was right at the base of the Super B lift. So, they got ready in the condo and just walked to the slope. The girls stayed inside (where it was warm!) and worked on our scrapbooks. Ashley was all caught up on her book, so she helped Lisa and I with some great ideas. The boys came in around 11am and were just shocked that lunch wasn't made for them already!! How sad! So we took a break and made some soup and grilled cheese. Then back to skiing and scrap booking. The day just flew by! By the time I noticed, I had 7 pages done and it was dinner time! We went back to Frisco to this amazing Mexican restaurant. I don't know about anyone else, but I thought it was the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. After dinner, we went back to the condo for some more talking and hanging out. Sunday morning the boys got up a little early to make the girls waffles, eggs, and bacon. Then we packed up and headed home. This weekend was so great and a much needed break from Kailyn. Thanks to "Old Goat" and "Maggie" for watching her. Thanks to the Seemans and Lindblooms too!! And a very special THANK YOU to Berne and Cindy for putting this weekend together. Its such a great get-away. This last picture didnt turn out that great, but look at the background.....so pretty!!
