San Fran!

Last week we took a little trip up north to San Fransisco. What a crazy little town! We drove right in the middle of downtown and holy cow....lots of traffic, lots of people, lots of stop lights, lots of hills and just lots of chaos! I was getting stressed out and I wasn't even driving! We had to drive through town to get to the Golden Gate Bridge. To be honest, I was a little disappointed...I was expecting the bridge to be a lot bigger than it was. Don't get me wrong, it was big, but not as big as I thought. We wanted to get out and walk across it, but again, there were too many people. It was packed!

We saw my car driving across too. I don't know who took it out of my garage, but they are going to be in trouble if its not put back soon. :o)

Kailyn noticed that there were lots of rainbows in San Francisco. She was super excited to go through a rainbow tunnel. There were rainbow flags everywhere...and she asked us why there were so many. We weren't quite sure how to explain it to her... any suggestions?? :o)




We stopped in a little town called Sausalito. Cute little town. We got out and walked around a little dock. There was a huge yacht parked and I wish I took a picture of it. It was enormous!

We wanted to keep going and stop at some huge redwood trees, but Taylor had "a little accident" and we weren't prepared for it. So we just headed back. We hope we can go back next week to the Fisherman's Wharf and explore around that.

17 Mile Drive

Today we took a little trip down south-ish to Carmel, California. There is a fun little stretch of road that for 17 miles, there is a scenic spot to stop every mile. We drove along the Pebble Beach Golf Course and saw a couple golfers playing a few holes. We saw some amazing houses and some were for sale, but didn't have any fliers to pick up; so we can only guess how many millions of dollars it cost. The one place we really wanted to see was a stop called "The Lone Cypress". And apparently, everyone else did too! It was pretty crowded...so we didn't stay too long.

But the wind made for some pretty awesome waves! These pictures don't capture what the waves were really like. It was incredible!
