What a weekend

This past weekend was kind of a blur to me. So much happened at such a fast pace, it was hard to keep track of everything that happened. But I'll do my best....

Wednesday afternoon Kent, Lalo, Jill (Lalo's sister) and her family arrived. They got all settled in and unpack some things. Kent and Lalo got busy with dinner right away while everyone else went to the park for some games. We threw the football around, played on the swings and slide. We came home and had an awesome meal of shrimp, salad, fettuccine, veggies, bread, the list goes on. After dinner, we all decided we would play a "friendly" game of TOUCH football. It didn't turn out that way though. Ryan had fumbled the ball and I was on my way after it. However, while i was diving for the ball, so was Ryan and he landed right on top of my arm. I WISH i took a picture of my arm a day after it happened, because it was the biggest, nastiest bruise you will ever see! Thursday was more of a relaxing day. Kent and Lalo went to Denver to pick of some more family from the airport. Jill and her family stayed home with me and hung out. As most of you know, that was the day the tornado hit Windsor. They were glued to the TV watching the weather. They couldn't believe it was happening so close. Their sons, Shane and Garrison are so intrigued with weather. We headed down to Denver after the weather let up and had a great dinner at Lisa and Joel's place. We got to meet Lalo's sons, Papi and Bubba. Friday was the big day. We headed over to the temple for the sealing. It was really great seeing the two of them sealed. After that, we went to diner at this nice Italian place by the Flat Iron mall. Saturday, we hung out at my parents house. on Sunday, we went to my brothers ward to see his little boy get blessed. He did such a great job. Their little guy, Owen, is such a cutie! I don't know if its OK to call a boy a cutie...but his is! We headed back home after that to meet up with Kent and Lalo again. We had another great dinner and then played some tennis. I REALLY need to work on my tennis skills. But it was fun non the less. Now, we are just getting back to normal and getting the kids back on their normal schedules. It was so fun to see everyone this weekend and get to participate in so many neat activities with everyone. But it is good to be home!
Coming out of the temple, a sealed couple
Shane, Therrin, Garrison, Jill, Anna, Lalo, Orion, Kent, Papi, Bubbame, Brady, Ashley (23 weeks preggo) Dave, Kent, Lalo, Lisa, Ryan (I dont know where Joel was!)

Again, I'm sorry for the lack of pictures....I'm working on it....

Some Cute Pictures

My good friend Sage and her little boy Porter came over the other day for some play time, lunch and just to catch up on each other. Sage is an amazing photographer and she snapped a couple shots of Taylor. I absolutely love these pictures. I just pulled them off of her blog....(i hope you don't mind, Sage.) Thank you so much for taking these pictures!

I love it when babies are so fast asleep that nothing will wake them up. We were watching Taylor sleep the other night and something startled her. She didn't wake up but her arms went out like a plane so fast and so abrupt. The funny thing is they stayed that way! She looked so peaceful.

Happy girl!

Last night, Taylor was so happy! There is something about a well-rested, fed, dry baby...go figure!

Rock Star

The other day, Brady was working out in the front yard cleaning up weeds. Kailyn was out playing with him and climbed up on the big rock. She looked so cute with the wind blowing her hair, I couldn't resist a few pictures.

Sweet Sisters

A few days ago I had what Brady calls a "Mommy moment". I just blame it on my hormones getting back to normal. But for some reason I just couldn't stop crying. It wasn't a sad cry but still crying. And then I realized that it was because Kailyn LOVES her new sister. The other day, we were giving Taylor her "tummy time" and Kailyn came right up to her and laid with her. She just laid with her! She didn't even say anything to her or try to touch her or anything. She was just looking at her so sweetly. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever. I love these girls!

Hair cut

I forgot about a bunch of pictures I took lately. Things get pretty crazy with 2 kids now a days. I don't know how people handle more than one kid!

About a week after Taylor was born, I noticed that Kailyn's hair was getting quite "ratty". Her hair was really uneven and didn't look very good. So, I took her to a kids hair salon. She got to sit in a taxi cab seat while she watched Elmo. The lady did a great job on her hair considering Kailyn kept turning her head to look around. This was Kailyns first hair cut and they let me keep a clump of her hair for her little memory book. The first hair cut is definitely worth remembering.

Miss Taylors Blessing

This past Sunday was Taylors blessing day. We were so lucky to have so much family with us to share in this special day. Cindy and Berne flew in on Friday night. They spent the weekend with us and Brady's brother and sister and their families came up to spend some time with them. We went to dinner at Inca (a great mexican restaurant) then we headed over to the hotel where Dave and Ashley were staying. We had lots of fun swimming in the hotel pool! At church on Sunday my sister and her family came up with my mom. My brother and his wife couldnt make it...(Feel better Stacy!) Brady blessed Taylor and some pretty special words were spoken and I could feel the spirit so strongly. What a special little girl we have!! After chruch, we came back to our house for some lunch and "hang out" time with the family. It was such a special day and I am so glad we could share it with so much family. Thank you to everyone who made this day so great.
As we all know, I am Horrible at remembering to take pictures. Luckily, Dave and Ashley took some great pictures. Here are some of them. Thanks for sending these! I will work on my picture taking problem. ;o)
