My Stamp Club

A while back, I joined a stamping club! I have been needing something to do and this was the perfect thing for me! We meet once a month for 5 months and get some fun new ideas for card making. (There are still some open spaces available if anyone up here wants to join too!) Last night, we had our first meeting and it was so much fun. We got the new stampin up! catalog along with a cute pad of paper and matching pen that my demonstrator made for us. We learned how to make a cute little gift card holder and learned a new scratch and sniff technique. I really do have an addiction to stamping...its so much fun! I'll post some of the cards I learn how to make when I make them.

Update!

I apologize for the lack of posting lately...we have been SO busy! (or maybe I have just been to lazy to post...) The last couple weeks have been laborous (is that a word?) Brady has put in some long labor hours on our landscaping, and we aren't finished yet! We had an unfortunate incident with our HOA (saying we had too many weeds) blah blah blah...so we decided to make them happy and fix our landscaping. We decided to put rock in the places that were troublesome. So, we did the measuring to see how much rock we needed to buy. The company told us that 80 cubic feet would equal 1 ton of rock. It turned out that our measurements brought us to buy 14 tons of rock. That's right 14 TONS! To make a really long story short, we ended up getting way too much because the stupid rock company wants to make sure people buy too much and make more money. Anyway, we ended up with about 6 tons of rock left over and didn't know what to do with it. So we thought to get rid of the grass strip between the sidewalk and street to save on water bills too. It turned out to be a lot more work than we planned, but it was worth it. It looks so much better. Now, we are planning to plant a few bushes and shrubs along that strip to make it look more complete. But this summer, we are DONE! SO, the moral of the story: buy only half of what the company recommends you buy. ;o)

We put an add on craigslist for free sod, and SO many people called...i had no idea there were so many people looking for sod! We should have put a price on it, but we just wanted it gone
All along these grass strips were dead patches of grass because of bunny poop! Now, I don't know how this happens, but where ever we found dead grass, there was a pile of bunny poop right in the middle.

4 Months

Taylor is 4 months old already! Can you believe that?! I sure can. It seems like she should be at least a year old by now...oh, how time doesn't fly when you don't sleep. That's right, Kailyn spoiled us by sleeping so much, I guess we expected too much from Taylor. She still isn't sleeping through the night. I get up with her once a night to feed her and then she will go back to bed for another hour or two. But her cuteness makes up for those dreaded nights. Taylor went to the Doctor today for her little check up. She was measuring 26.5 inches (95%+), 15.8lbs (90-95%) and her head measured about 16in. (50%). Taylor is rolling over so much these days that we really have to watch her. I don't think I'm ready to give up my little baby to movement yet. I love being able to hold her and make her smile all the time. She loves her daddy so much. Whenever Brady gets home from work, her face just lights up and laughs and smiles until her little cheeks hurt. ;o) Needless to say, Taylor loves her big sister too. She will sit in her bouncy seat and watch Kailyn run around the house, dance, color or whatever else she does. I bet she can't wait until she is big enough to do those things. Taylor is getting very strong, she can "stand" on our legs while we hold her. The Doctor said she might be an early walker. (We'll see if she even crawls!!) We love having this little girl around so much. She makes our days so happy with her bright smile.

Off to the Pool

The last day my mom was here, we went to the pool to cool down a bit. It has been so hot here, the only thing to do is swim!

The next day, my mom took Kailyn with her back down to Denver for a couple days...it has been so quite here! Its great!! ;o) THANKS MOM!!!

So happy!

After we finished finger painting and cleaning up, Taylor wanted to play. She is so happy all the time! Her smile just melts my heart.

Just us

I realized I never put up any pictures of Brady and me. This was before one of Brady's work dinner parties. We went to Savoy (a yummy french restaurant) while my mom so graciously offered to watch the girls. Thanks mom!!

Finger paints

We just love it when grandma comes to visit! Look at all the fun stuff we get to do! My mom came up for a few days to visit with the girls and relieve me from the girls. On Tuesday, we did some finger painting to decorate Kailyn's walls. There is one picture of her hand prints and then 2 other pictures of just random stuff. It turned out really nice! The process of making the pictures was really entertaining to watch. See for yourselves.
